A lovely Tuesday evening saw a British Bike Race through the streets of Blackpool. Another free event was watched by hundreds and televised two nights later as part of Cycle Britain Tour.

Stanley Park Bandstand last week in the gorgeous sunshine. They have different bands and choirs playing music and singing every Sunday in the bandstand throughout the Summer, it's a free event- you just have to sit there and enjoy the music and the sunshine!

 I'm sure most football fans watched the thrilling Championship Play Off Final at Wembley against Cardiff City FC. What a great match in such soaring heat. Blackpool's historic win signaled the start to an unbelievable era in Blackpool, where everyone was celebrating for days even weeks! Infact it's still going on!!

Football, whether you love it or hate it, everyone was absorbed by Blackpool FC and their massive acheivment. On the Monday following the victory, the team and staff had their victory parade along the Prom. Starting at Gynn Square, they went along the front to the headland at Waterloo Road. An estimated 100,000 people turned out to show their support for their heroes.

                  Fixtures released today!


The fixtures are now out for the all the football leagues for the season of 2010 - 2011. Watching Sky Sports it was amazing to see Blackpool FC's name rolling along the bottom of the screen for the opening fixtures of the Premier League!! So check it out and see when your team will be trying their luck at Bloomfield Road.

Whether you all like football in your family or not, you can all come along for a long weekend and make the most of what Blackpool has to offer and catch your team at the same time!! There's plenty to keep everyone amused.
